Texas 42 is a trick-taking game that shares similarities with bridge or spades. With its origins dating back to the late 1880s, it has become a beloved tradition spanning generations of players.

We are proud to present this app, developed with the sole aim of providing an unmatched gaming experience. Our top priority was to create an AI that would exceed your expectations and eliminate any frustrations caused by computer play. Countless hours have been dedicated to developing an AI that mirrors your own decision-making. Since every player has their unique play style, we offer you the flexibility to set each computer player's play style to "Conservative," "Normal," or "Aggressive." You can mix and match these styles as you please and adjust them at any point during the game.

• A Conservative player adopts a lower bidding strategy compared to the other players. When it has the lead, its primary focus is on drawing out all trumps before moving on to non-trump tiles. If the Conservative player doesn't possess the highest trump, it will play a low-value tile to bait out higher ones, preserving tiles with count until it can secure a win.
• A Normal player tends to bid higher than a Conservative player. It prioritizes holding on to its trumps for instances where count is valuable. If it doesn't possess the highest trump, it will attempt to pass the lead to its teammate.
• An Aggressive player blends elements of both Conservative and Normal styles. It pushes bids to 31 or 34-36 with weaker hands, often risking marks if it possesses a strong hand. Furthermore, it is willing to lay down trumps with 5 counts in an effort to draw out high-value trump tiles covering the 10 count. The Aggressive player takes calculated risks, banking on its partner's ability to secure the trick.

For bidding purposes, your partner will respond to your bid. If you bid 30, you are signaling to your partner that you have a strong hand, making it more likely for them to outbid opponents and secure the bid.
